Sidechain and off-chain in blockchain and distributed systems

The purpose of the Egor's talk is to tell about how to solve problems related to blockchain capacity, by introducing the sidechain and off-chain patterns.

Technologies and architectural solutions: Bitcoin, Ethereum, P2P, Raft, Paxos, Mokka, Gossip, JS, Node.js, WS.

Targeted audience: backend developers, working with distributed/crypto/analytic/highload services.

Egor Zyev

TeamLead at Inbit

Around 10 years of experience in summary. Took part in such startups on early (pre-seed) stage as Chronobank (TeamLead), NeverEatAlone (TeamLead), NeuroIO (CTO, Co-founder), Tymlez (Lead Dev). During his career, Egor had a chance to work in different domains, including telemedicine, IoT, Blockchain, telemetry, and social networks. Besides that, Egor used to work as mobile dev, game dev, frontend dev, and backend dev.

Egor has a magister degree, graduated with distinction HSE (Informatics and Computer Hardware and Software). Also, he participated in different kinds of scientific researches, including MSU (IoT, wise home), Bauman University (Ventilation microcontrollers), Plekhanov University (Neurology, artifacts detection). At the moment, Egor devotes his time to researches, related to distributed systems in HSE.

Furthermore, Egor is a winner of Imagine Cup (Moscow round, team “thinger”) organized by Microsoft, participant of IBM hackathon, winner of InnoStar (innovation projects), winner of F.A.S.I.E (among innovation projects). Also, Egor has successfully passed Cambridge certification in English (FCE, CAE).
